Hello, and welcome to Growing Up KaterTot!
My name is Katie, and I have a passion for all things that are child-friendly and fun! Growing Up KaterTot is a parenting and lifestyle blog. I’m here to share healthy recipes and snack ideas, seasonal and educational crafts, words of inspiration, and my thoughts about motherhood and raising children.

All About Me
I'm a Mommy. I am blessed with a beautiful 4 year old little girl, who is the center of my universe! I am fortunate enough to be able to take time away from work to raise my daughter, and I love the stay-at-home mom lifestyle. Do I miss adult interactions and the workforce? YES. Are my husband and I a bit tight financially? You bet. Do I want to crawl under the kitchen table and pretend I'm invisible some days? Absolutely. Now, ask me if the sacrifices are worth it. My answer would be an astounding 100% YES!
I'm a wife. My husband, Phil, and I have been together for 15 years (married 8). How is it possible that time can fly by so quickly?! Phil is my best friend and a true supporter. There's nothing I don't share with him. In fact, I may share way more than he'd like to know, such as how many times my daughter used the potty in one day, or how my mom's friend's cousin is getting married and can't wait to choose her wedding colors and.... Too much? Yeah. Being home all day having conversations with my daughter turns me into a jabber jaw. Phil is a wonderful father and husband, and my daughter and I are blessed to have him in our lives.
I'm a teacher. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a certification in Special Education. Teaching is my passion, and it has helped me to become the mother I am today. My ideas and parenting decisions often flow from the natural teacher inside of me. Not to mention that my basement is packed with everything from my former classroom- construction paper, paint, magnetic letters, about a million books, and the list continues. (No one ventures down there but me. Trust me-- it's a good thing!)
