It Happens to the Best of Us
On particularly uneventful days, I like to make a unique snack or meal for my tot. Most of the time, it's something as simple as cutting bread with cookie cutters for a small shape sandwich. On other occasions, I'll take a little extra time to create a more elaborate apple race car or an outdoor scene complete with sun and flowers. My daughter calls these her "special snacks," and she absolutely loves them! With spring on the horizon, I decided I wanted to intrigue my Easter Bunny-obsessed child with a rabbit shaped snack.
Operation "Special Snack"
1. I completely failed because I wasted 45 precious alone-time minutes on a tortilla-based "cat bunny."
2. Although my idea didn't quite pan out the way I'd hoped, and I missed out on some relaxing "mommy time", my efforts weren't for naught. My tot was more than thrilled with that day's "special snack," and that's what truly mattered!
