Soon, feeding my daughter in a healthy way began to influence my personal food choices. I began to avoid most processed foods, and I added more fruits, veggies, and lean proteins to my meals and snacks. At first, I referred to the change of my eating habits as a diet. After all, I was no longer eating the sugary, greasy items I was before, and the idea of consuming more healthy foods seemed to go right along with the concept of "dieting." As time passed, however, I realized that I was on my way to permanently changing my lifestyle as opposed to dieting.
